Welcome to Bateson Trailers NZ
Bateson was established in 1934, We have produced many thousands of trailers for all purposes and we are now one of the larger manufacturers in the UK. Our design experience, Having produced possibly every type of trailer, has allowed us to develop a range of approximately 100 standard models to suit most applications. All trailers combine exceptional strength with a low unladen weight and excellent stable towing characteristics.
View Our TrailersSince the purchase of my Bateson trailer my life has changed remarkably. It fits all the criteria that a woman on her own would need in such a product. I can load and unload my ponies on my own with confidence. They particularly enjoy the front off-load option, no more backing off into "Nowhere". I can drive safely knowing that I have a robust and well-built trailer. I can back it easily. I can hitch it and un-hitch it with ease. It looks smart, it is easy to clean both inside and out. I am pleased that after much deliberation I made the sound decision to purchase a Bateson
Being totally new to the horse/pony club scene - the purchase of a float to get to club rallies was a pretty daunting prospect for me. Not only was our horse cherry a reluctant "Floater" but as my daughter and I are on our own, the ease and ability to get the float hitched to the ute and then drive it around was a huge issue for me. The bateson float has ticked all the right boxes - in particular:
The ability to open the front door ramp so our horse can see daylight getting on and off certainly made it less 'scary' for her and we've since had no further issues in floating her.
The back door is quite solid but not so heavy that my 11 year old daughter can't pick it up and close it on her own.
The reversing mirror is a godsend.
The divider inside can be moved aside easily or taken out completely if we want to use the float for buying hay bales or for moving stuff other than our horse.
The bateson really is a smart looking float and well priced for value. I am very happy with my decision to purchase one.
